Colorful yarns

I am supposedly working on my Intermediate Accounting homework, but bonds and installment notes are not engrossing enough to keep me from peeking at other things, like stuff on my Flickr page, which leads to photos of crochet projects, which leads to the pretty, photo-filled blog of someone who seems to be a English stay-at-home mother. Here's an amusing description of one of her recent Saturday mornings (and what does she mean by a "bun?" It looks like a cupcake, but she also uses the term "cupcake" for something apparently different).

I love this person's taste in colors, not to mention her knack for photographing her world, and I want to pick up my yarns and hooks again. I've nearly forgotten how to crochet. I'll have to remind myself. But I think what really attracts me to reading things like that is imagining a situation where I have plenty of time, space, and supplies to decorate and craft and create, without bothering with the hard work, mistakes, and clean up.

And now, back to effective interest rates and laundry and dirty dishes.

I'm English and it looks like a cupcake to me as well!

A bun tends to be a bit like a roll, only sweet dough & sometimes with icing on top. So, I guess they might put bun mixture in paper cases but it would be odd! Plus, most buns I can think of contain yeast.

That's what I would think of, too!
