I was impressed by the Audi TT when it was first released, and still think it's a fine-looking vehicle. It would certainly be one of my choices if I had a decent budget and pass my driving test on the 27th. ;)
The Lexus is okay, but frankly, if one is going to go for a roadster like that, one might as well go the whole nine yards and get a Mercedes SLK Kompressor. Or a Prowler. :) Given my general dislike of the SLK's looks, I think I'd go for the Chrysler.
More realistically, I know my first car will be an old banger (probably a Ford Fiesta, Peugeot 205 or Citroen AX) that's done 100,000 miles. In the slightly longer term, if I can't afford the TT, I'm going to get one of these.
*nodnod* I'm not a fan of fins -- bit too ostentatious, IMHO. The cars either side of that particular fad were often quite nice, though, as you say.
The Figaro's retro styling and relatively modern design (it's a little over ten years old) mean it should be great -- especially since its devaluation is virtually nil. Nissan only made about 10,000, but the parts remain very cheap. The soft top, all-leather upholstery and built-in CD-player are additional temptations.
But I'll have to put them on hold for just a little while. My first car has arrived on the driveway, and it's a mark three Ford Fiesta. All I need now is that driving licence... <:)
