I'm still here. October is one of my favorite months, and the weather's been beautiful, but I haven't really been able to appreciate it for the past couple days because I've had long hours at work. Had a busy weekend, as my mother arrived Saturday for a two-week visit, and on Sunday we spent around 7 or 8 hours at my cousin's housewarming party. I missed my yoga class today because I was in the middle of working on something and didn't notice when it was time. Not in a good mood so far this week -- haven't had much time to myself. On the plus side, a quick re-install of Mozilla fixed the problem I had since Friday with it crashing on startup.

I always get a little more "on edge" when we have visitors, because it takes away from me time. It sounds like you're dealing with the same, maybe? Perhaps just a week for yourself, outside of work and other pressing obligations like that, you should just take that time. It's what I've done, and it helped me.

I get a little more "on edge" when her mother visits, too. :p Talking about taking time off is easier than actually doing it for most people, and even letting non-work/commute obligations pile up can be difficult, too.
