I am ill again.

I have a cold again. The cough started last Thursday, the afternoon of Thanksgiving, and the next day I got a drippy nose to go with it. No fever this time, though, it's more like my usual experience -- except for the sinus headache, I didn't used to get those.

And a minor scrape on my thumb appears to be developing into skin infection #4. I noticed over the weekend that it didn't seem to be healing properly. Today there's a small inflamed, itchy patch, and I see the tiny dots which I suspect, if left untreated, will become little bubbles of serum and then burst. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I think I'll stop at the doctor's on my way home tonight. Geeze. What is it with my skin?

*hugs* I can sympathise with the cough. I've been dealing with bronchitis since my last cold last month.

As for the wound... I managed to scrape myself with one of my lancets last week and it's still sore and red. Owie.

There may be a combination of reasons for your skin reacting the way it does. I'm glad you're going to the doctor.

Thanks. :) I think my cold is getting better.

This is actually the fifth skin infection since I moved here two and a half years ago; I had forgotten the time this past June. I wonder if it has anything to do with working in a nursing home.

Certain bacteria has developed a resistance to the usual cleaners they use in nursing homes. You might consider a touch of teatree in your hand lotion.
