Labor Day weekend

I had a pleasant weekend. Saturday my parents and I went for a walk at a park where we haven't been in years; we saw a variety of flowers, butterflies and dogs, and some geese on the river. Sunday we drove an hour and a half to that other park, for lack of a better word: it has a bunch of big gardens, a lake, woods, a butterfly center, and a couple other things. When we got there we found that the hot air balloons were canceled because of cloudy weather, so we walked around a little, toured the vegetable garden, and came back home.

My brother joined us for dinner. He has had his bleached-yellow hair shaved off. His roots were showing and he didn't like the two-tone look; now, as my father says, if he put on saffron colored robes he would look like a Buddhist monk. His head is fuzzy.   :)

I didn't do much yesterday. I reupholstered one chair with a vinyl seat, and I've been assigned four more to do. Drove to the school I'll be taking classes at to make sure I know the way. My class starts this Saturday.

I have more to say, but don't feel like writing right now. Maybe tomorrow.
