shooting stars
Feb. 1st, 2003 10:27 amI feel sick.
I think I was six years old when the Challenger was launched on its last mission. My memory of my elementary school days is not very clear, but I remember my entire class of a couple dozen second graders getting out of normal classes, if that was the same occasion, to watch the launch on TV. My little brother and I were both dressed that day in red NASA tee shirts that we had brought back from a visit to the space center in Huntsville, Alabama. I think I remember watching the launch with my classmates in the school library and then getting out of school early that day.
I remember not quite "getting it" at the time.
