those happy golden rule days
Feb. 25th, 2003 03:48 pmThe maple trees are in full bloom, bits of red fuzz on the ends of all the twigs. The redbud trees are flowering too, covered in lavender-pink.
Last Tuesday evening -- a week ago -- my high school had a Back to School Night, for alumni to see the teachers again and have a good class with them. I attended "An Evening in Middle Earth," with my 12th grade English teacher, whom I remembered fondly. I was disappointed to find that he didn't seem to remember me. I was also hoping to see people I went to school with, but I think I was the youngest person there by many years.
I had a nice weekend. Saturday was windy and very warm. I went to the park to attempt to fly a kite, but didn't get it higher than 30 feet or so off the ground. The wind kept shifting.
On another happy note, I found a tea shop that sells tapioca pearl milk tea, one of apparently just three sources of bubble tea in my city.
