So far so good
Jun. 5th, 2003 03:10 pmI've been here for three weeks now. I am kind of comfortable in my attic nest, but not so comfortable that I'm anxious to stay: I don't have much space, and I keep bumping my head when I try to get stuff from out of the corner. I spent this morning looking for apartments in a neighborhood halfway between my current location and Chris' house.
I've taken a job as secretary to my aunt's friend, at a long term care facility. I start Monday. I expect the work to be mindless, but the pay is decent (more than I was getting back home), and I consider finding a job this quickly to be a lucky break. I intend to keep looking for a more technical job; maybe the Information Services department of the same place.
I'm excited to be here. I'll be working just across the street from the Park, which is pretty and will make a nice place to eat lunch. I've been daydreaming about furnishing my own apartment.
