Highlights of the weekend:
State Fair with Chris on Friday night, with a great spinny whirly ride worthy of a Six Flags.
Went to the birthday party of a friend of the family on Sunday, where they had my favorite kind of rice cake dessert.
Sunday evening, a family of wild turkeys crossed the road in front of me, and later a deer.

Good things about an evening walk in my neighborhood:
Plenty of trees.
Plenty of flowers.
A gentle slope that is not too hard on me.
Bunnies that let me get within ten feet before they move away.
Gold sunlight on the branches, if I'm there at the right moment.

Bad things about an evening walk:
The heat!

I overslept by an hour this morning. I was still in time to carpool to work, but I had to get my breakfast & lunch from the cafeteria.
