Last week, work was a little stressful/busy; this week it has been less so. But I will always have a backlog of tasks, as one of my predecessors told me. I need to learn to use MS Access....
Since moving here two months ago, I've put on some extra padding in the tummy. I've been equally as sedentary here as I was before, but my diet has changed: my aunt cooks with more oil than my parents do. My aunt & uncle use cream and butter, too, which are practically treif for my dad. There are sweets around the house, cake and chocolate and ice cream. And at work -- if the hot meal of the day doesn't look good I might have a hamburger, but in any case, the cafeteria's cookies and scones are pretty good.
I need to start exercising, but it's usually either hot or wet out in the evenings, and I don't much like the idea of getting up earlier in the mornings. I guess I may have to, though. Even just a walk around the neighborhood would do me good.
There are fireflies out now. I think I first noticed them a week or two ago. In my hometown, early June is firefly season. Fireflies are one of the really great things about summer.
My car has died: it won't start. It has stalled while driving, too. The dealership will take it Monday morning, so I'll be carless over the weekend.
