Wha..? Banned books again?

homasse and stryck have now both posted a banned books meme. I suppose I'll crib from them in a little while, but for now I'm wondering where this meme came from. There was a banned books meme going around last September which I participated in; that list came from the American Library Association. The list that's going around now is different. I've traced it back three hops to a ziasudra but got stuck there.
