back to the usual
Jan. 4th, 2006 01:43 pmMy holidays passed agreeably. I enjoyed spending time with my family. I got caught up on the latest with my brother. We went to a couple interesting places in the city where none of us had been before. During down time, I put some of my photos, which have been sitting in envelopes for the past two years, into my photo album. I never got around to sending out holiday cards, though, except for two. I wonder if it's too late now. Maybe I should look for a pack of Chinese New Year cards.
This week I want to draft a strategy for dealing with the year. After taking a closer look at the grad school application process, I realize that it's going to need more preparation than I had planned on, and I need a much clearer idea of what I want to do. I think I should establish regular routines for handling my chores so my apartment isn't a perpetual wreck, and maybe even monthly or bimonthly reviews for myself, but I'm not sure how well I like the concept. It's so regimented and alien to how I normally operate.
In the interests of keeping closer track of my finances, I will note that I have spent $11 so far this month: $5 on breakfast and lunch at work yesterday and $6 on breakfast and lunch today.
