Short days
Nov. 5th, 2006 01:13 pmSo we switched back to Standard Time, and suddenly I notice how the sun is already low by 2:30 PM and down around 5:00. In exchange, there's more daylight when I walk out my door in the morning, but that won't last long.
Fall has been my favorite season for years, but these short days are getting to me. I feel like I'm constantly behind schedule and not getting enough done. (Which may be true, but that's beside the point.) Where I grew up, the difference in day length betweeen summer and winter was less dramatic, and we were closer to the western edge of the time zone than I am now. That all makes more of a difference than I anticipated. I wouldn't go so far as to think I have SAD, but I would very much like more sunshine.
