First day of spring

Happy vernal equinox. It is now warm enough that I don't need a jacket or sweater to walk the dog in the mornings, and rather too warm in the afternoons. Most of the trees around are bright with new leaves. I still miss the seasonal displays found in more verdant regions.

Mungo and I will be traveling to one of those more temperate regions this summer. aristeros will be away for about a year and a half, and we think it's best for me to go home to my parents during that time. I feel as though the move is just around the corner: my mind seems to be skipping over the entire spring.
