Something I never thought about before -- it's inadvisable for the president to use email.
"Lose the BlackBerry? Yes He Can, Maybe"
And, a conclusion I find particularly tragic: there are even fewer women studying computer science now than there were 15 years ago.
"What Has Driven Women Out of Computer Science?"
I studied computer science but did not pursue a career in the field. For me, it's the perception that I'm not a competent programmer/computer scientist that made me think I should do something else. Compared with my classmates, including the other female students, it seems to me I didn't understand as much and didn't produce as good quality work, therefore, how could I market myself as a new hire? But reading about studies and surveys like those mentioned in the article makes me wonder if I shouldn't have tried to stick with it anyway.
