I just called my cell phone company. My change to my cell phone plan Tuesday night did not in fact go through, which means the new plan takes effect not yesterday but on May 17, by which time I'll already in a hotel with my family. The second week of May is when I'll really want it, so Chris can call me while I'm away from home. Granted, I should have taken care of this earlier this month, but I'm mad at my cell phone company because A) I'm sure I did everything right at their website Tuesday night and B) their button to change plans on the website is a little confusing and their voice-mail system is more confusing.

Meanwhile, we never received our March phone bill nor any past-due notice from our regular phone company. They have sent out the April phone bills yesterday, so when that arrives they'll be billing us for two months. Now, I wouldn't be surprised if my scatterbrained roommate picked up the phone bill with the mail one day and lost it among her piles of stuff lying around, but I can't believe that both the phone bill and a past-due notice would disappear that way. Anyway, I called the phone company and requested a duplicate March bill, so I think we'll be able to figure it out.

I ordered a class ring today, after mulling over for some time what year to put on it. It's more difficult a question than you might think at first: with what year do I most identify? I matriculated with the Class of 2000, but I didn't graduate with them. I'm graduating with the Class of 2002, but I don't view them as my classmates, I view them as being two years below me. I don't see myself as being in the Class of 2001 at all. I finally settled on 2000, because I feel that's the class I'm most a part of, and I have a right to that ring. But an inscription on the inside of the ring will read '1996-2002' followed by my name.

I'm stressed. There's this phone business, there's end-my-lease business to take care of with the apartment management, I've barely done any jobsearch-type activity at all since last fall, we're just starting our Comp project that's due in a week, and I haven't made ads to sell my furniture yet. I haven't sent Chris his laptop & the shoes he left behind. I haven't configured my Debian computer for net access, so I can't download all the contents of my school account onto it. This morning I mistakenly deleted an email from Chris that I meant to save. I've asked the IT department to restore my inbox so I can get it back, but what a way to start the day. And we have one last homework due Tuesday! Aaaagh....
