My brother is home, with his semi-bleached hair and spiffy new clothes. He's got a pair of -- get this -- pinstripe cargo pants. They're black with red pinstripes, and they confuse me greatly, because the fabric is a kind usually used for suits, but the styling is baggy and very informal. His hair is normally so dark a brown as to look black, like mine, but now it's a sort of orangy-brown tan, somewhat mottled or dappled because he couldn't get the bleach applied perfectly evenly. This is the result of just one application: he wants a second, in preparation for dyeing his hair. He bought some bright red dye, but hopefully we'll be able to find dark blue. I think bright red would look awful. For a while last year I was contemplating dyeing my own hair dark blue, but I decided against it because it would be such a permanent procedure for me. For him, it'll grow out in just a few months, but for me replacing the damaged hair would take four years or so.
Much job-hunting stuff to do. I haven't been keeping up well over the past few days. Nor have I been exercising lately. My brother brought home Warcraft III with him, and I've been distracted. ;p We got a Sunday paper, and I went through the classifieds and marked some for further investigation. Sigh. I need to make money so I can move out! Last week I applied to a pet store, Borders, and Barnes & Noble, but I haven't heard back from any of them.
