I pronounce all the syllables of "poinsettia" -- that is, I say "poyn-set-ee-uh," with the accent on the second syllable.

I pronounce all three syllables of "caramel."

I call the tiny bits of candy which may be put on top of cupcakes or ice cream sundaes, "sprinkles."

I do not use the terms "plastic sack" or "paper sack," but if I heard them used, would take them to mean the type one gets at the supermarket for carrying one's groceries, or similar smaller objects for carrying one's lunch. I call them "bags."

Generally, "trash" does not contain food waste, while "garbage" may, but this is not a hard and fast rule. I do not use the term "rubbish." A "waste basket" is small, sized for a bathroom or a bedroom. The larger one used in the kitchen is a "garbage can" or a "trash can."

I pronounce "war" in a way that's closer to rhyming with "far" than with "more."

I pronounce the L in "almonds" but not in "salmon": "ahl-monds", the first syllable rhyming with "hall," as compared with "sammun." I pronounce "palm" pretty much like "pom", with maybe the faint echo of an L in there.

I say "by accident," never "on accident."

This link is kinda cool.

And I need to get back to work.
