lunch time in the park

[serenissima]

Twelve pigeons begging
Eleven starlings flocking
Ten daffodils budding
Nine seagulls shrieking
Eight humans walking
Seven mallards paddling
Six fish unseen
Five Canada geese
Four hopping sparrows
Three sunning turtles (plus one who couldn't get any space on the rock, and so stayed in the water)
Two sniffing dogs
And one robin hunting for bugs!

The Friendly Snack Bar is open again, so there's enough foot traffic that I feel comfortable eating my lunch on the bench.

That works pretty well, except I have to pronounce Canada like the character in Akira. ;) Glad to see your lunch-break is revealing such interesting sights, though!
