Things I need to take care of:

Find the DVD I borrowed from my cousin so he can return it to Netflix. It's not on top of the Playstation where I left it, so it may be anywhere in the living room. Thus, finding it may mean I need to...

Clean the living room. There are a few items of clean laundry on the couch that need to be folded and put away, but of more concern are the piles of paper on the tables. I think these are largely junk mail.

Wash the dishes. The sink has been full of dirty dishes since Wednesday night, and my kitchen smells. Again. I should also wash the dishtowels.

Get groceries. I'm out of milk, a basic necessity without which I find it hard to eat breakfast.

Enter my backlog of receipts into Quicken. I like to know exactly where my money goes, and normally I'm a little compulsive about logging my purchases. However, I stopped last fall when my cousin's computer crashed, so instead I have six or seven month's worth of receipts.

Before I can enter the purchases, I need to transfer the data from my Zip disk to either my old or new computer. If it's to the old, I need to install the current version of Quicken, because on my cousin's computer I was using a newer version and my old computer won't read the data file. If it's to the new, I need to burn the stuff on Zip to CD, because the new computer doesn't have a Zip drive, although it does have Quicken 2004 pre-loaded. The latter is the better option, since there's other stuff I want to transfer besides Quicken data, and that way I won't need a purchased in-the-box edition.

I should probably also move the modem from the old computer to the new.
