I went skating this morning and yesterday morning. I am getting steadier. I am not as scared of going fast; I am not scared at all of going as fast as I can propel myself on flat pavement, but downgrades can still be problematic if I need to maneuver around anyone. Haven't yet figured out stopping.

I think that I would enjoy living overseas for a period of time.
That's not related to skating.

What makes you think you'd like living overseas, really? The people you chat with, or looking at photos of different areas, or what? And where would you consider living, if you did go overseas? I'm just curious, really, as I'd thought of going back to Ireland, before I settled down with Purrzah. Sometimes, I do wish I had gone back, though I'm happy where I'm at, anyway.

My brother spent two months in Europe this summer. It got me thinking. I'd like to stay for a while in a place with much more history than the US cities I've lived in, maybe for a year. Far East Asia would be fun. Europe would be fun. Central Asia might be interesting, too, or South America. Someplace with a very different culture.
