weekend blown
Oct. 16th, 2005 06:00 pmMy brother decided to drive up with two friends and camp out in my living room during his four-day-weekend-midterm break. They arrived early Saturday morning, in time for my brother to say hello to my mother and various other relatives before I brought my mother to the airport Saturday afternoon.
I've slowly been catching up on housework that I neglected (even more than usual) during the two weeks that my mother was visiting. I had to alter my habits slightly so as not to wake the boys this morning. Despite their having been in town for some 36 hours now, I haven't had much chance to talk with them, since they try to spend as much time as possible in the city and I've had things to do that prevent me from going with them.
I haven't had a solid two days to relax and unwind for a while. Come to think of it, the month so far has been unusually stressful. The weather was part of that.
