Weekends have a way of getting away from me, especially the past two or three of them. I have all these constructive things I want to do, and I even make to-do lists, but first I want to relax, and next thing I know it's 3 PM. Even after years of mostly fending for myself, I am not what job want-ads ask for: a "self-directed" person. Or rather, my self directs me to dawdle and loaf and ooh, shiny thing! Beads! Kittens!
So, a new goal: early starts every weekend, with exercise. On Saturdays, I will be out of bed by 8 AM, and I will go skating, weather permitting. Hopefully I will avoid the crowd at the park at that hour. On Sundays, I will get up at 7, walk to church, then stop at the supermarket on the way back. Afterward I will go skating. I think this will work well over the summer.
