Why I am not interested in reading The Da Vinci Code

I heard the first three chapters or so of Da Vinci Code on audiobook because my carpool driver was listening to it. It was kind of entertaining, but the quality of the writing was not impressive, and I didn't like the very obvious way he presented the romantic interest.

The more I hear, I'm starting to get interested in reading the damn things for the humor value. Brown treats his limited education the way Jim Theis treated his limited color vision.
