Remembering
Sep. 11th, 2006 01:57 pmIt was a Tuesday morning, wasn't it? I had just been grocery shopping and had come back into my apartment at school. My roommate asked me if I had heard the news on the radio.
We didn't have class right away -- in fact most classes that day turned out to be canceled -- but we headed over to school to watch TV in the student lounge, as ours didn't work well. It was a surreal day.
In the weeks that followed, I was proud to be a member of civilized society as a whole. I saw all the flags and decals displayed everywhere, and I wanted to display a banner with a picture of the world, instead.
That's still basically how I feel.
