Today was the first non-rainy day this week. I had my car washed and painted over the numerous scratches. It's easy to see where the touch-up paint is, but I think it's an improvement over the scratches.
A bug has been hanging out on my window all week. Not just any creepy-crawly, but a true bug, a member of Class Insecta, Order Heteroptera. I've seen this kind before, on a window at home, but it didn't stay there for a whole week. I wonder if it's cold.
Yesterday, my roommate was playing "Star Ocean: the Second Story" on the PlayStation. I noticed there's a spell in the game called "Cure All" for which the visual effect is a big, gold, engraved cross that shows up on the screen for a moment. It looks like it belongs on an altar somewhere. I don't know the storyline of Star Ocean, but as far as I know its only connection to Christianity is a sense of right and wrong. It bothers me that they use a cross as a symbol for something so removed from religion. It feels like... taking the Lord's name in vain.
I should get together with my friends sometime before we all leave for winter break. I should write to people I haven't written to. I want to send out Christmas cards.
I should start my Algorithms exam now.
