I've had a good weekend. Singing the Easter vigil Mass last night and the Easter Mass this morning was uplifting. I really like the Gloria that we've been using. I looked for the composer's name on the [Xeroxed] music sheets, but it wasn't there.

When I'm singing in full voice in the best part of my range for an audience, whether it's at church or at a chorale performance, it seems like the energy I put forth returns to me and buoys me so I can fly. Including both practice time and church, I put in eleven and a half hours this weekend (Thu-Fri-Sat-Sun) by being in the choir, and it was definitely worth it. I had that dragonwinged feeling at the end of Mass last night. Then I went to Bennigan's with most of the others, left after midnight, and by the time I got home I was too tired to feel dragonly. :)

My April issue of "Self" arrived -- I still don't know what happened to my March issue -- and I've resolved to exercise this coming month. I pretty much stopped walking a few weeks ago. Time to pick that up again, and maybe swimming too. I've been living at my apartment complex for nineteen months, and I've been in the pool a total of three times. That's sad.

Headlines these days are more sad. The past week has had noticably more calamities than usual, seems to me. It's enough to make me think vaguely apocalyptic thoughts and then dismiss them as silly.
