orange sauce

I did about half the things I said I should do yesterday, I think that's not bad. I made fish with ginger-orange sauce last night. Next time I'll halve the amount of cornstarch (it was a little too goopy for my taste) and increase the amount of ginger, but it turned out well. Dad liked it. I even washed the dishes, and it wasn't too bad. I guess it's easier when there are only two people's worth of dishes. Also, I fired off my resume to four postings on Monster and I paid my cell phone bill.
I felt good this morning. I felt like Chris was somewhere near. I was happy with myself. I went grocery shopping before noon because I wanted spinach for my lunch sandwich; I'll sautee the rest of the bag tonight. I like cooking. Still to do: walk for at least a half hour, which is more than bearable in the cool of the basement on the treadmill with an audiobook (Pride and Prejudice) playing, and send more resumes. I emailed the guy from the tiny company yesterday, and he replied today saying they had found someone else for the position, but I figured as much and got over my disappointment days ago.
