scents of curry, tea, and samosas

Two days ago I assembled a plateful of dumplings filled with ground turkey. Last night my mother fried them. They turned out yummy. :)
I spent a while today reading stories that would probably scandalize those who know me. My own guilt derives from the time I spent when I could have been looking at job postings. However, it was refreshing. Taking a look at the author's bio made me feel better about the prospect of not getting a tech job right away. I can work in a number of humble capacities... just so long as it's for enough to live on. Wouldn't it be nice to be moved out of the house by my birthday?
I have decided not to change places with my brother and stay at my aunt & uncle's house. The job my brother has will not be available to me. So I'm staying here at home for the present, until I can save up some money. At least I'll get to spend more time with my parents and brother. I didn't look forward to leaving the former and hardly seeing the latter.
I finished Pride and Prejudice -- in fact I wasn't able to keep myself from listening to it off the treadmill -- and I got Sense and Sensibility to replace it. I hope it's as good as its predecessor, but maybe if it isn't that will keep me walking more instead of bringing the tape player to the dining room while I eat and to the bathroom while I shower.
