Jan. 10th, 2003 06:29 pmYesterday was a warm, sunny, beautiful day.
I spent about ten minutes of it outside.
When I have to stay indoors on days when I want to be enjoying the weather, I tell myself that there will be plenty of other beautiful days I can enjoy later. But it irks me all the same. I noticed as I drove home this evening that it's not as dark out as it was on my drive home a few weeks ago. Solstice has passed: the days are getting longer. If I were in a rural area, I could take nighttime nature walks. But I'm not, and frankly I probably would not like living in the middle of nowhere. I'm accustomed to the convenience of malls and other [sub]urban amenities.
A new guy started at work Wednesday. I trained him Wednesday and yesterday, and today he was about as fast as I was after a couple of weeks, I think. Hmmm. I like having more people at work; I feel a little more sociable.
