Ack! No more pictures
Jun. 25th, 2004 11:25 amHad some computer trouble here at work. In MIS' process fixing the problem, they first wiped out my Windows profile, which means I lost my Mozilla bookmarks, and they also seem to have removed my screensaver/wallpaper program. I could download and re-install the program very easily, but all the pictures that I've downloaded over the past year are gone, too. Because it's freeware, I'm limited to a quota of 5 pictures a day. 50 weeks x 5 days a week x 5 pictures a day = some 1250 pictures that are gone. No more pretty flowers, scenic mountain vistas or cute animals. :(
EDIT: One of the MIS guys told me that they think the program I used spread viruses. Oh well, guess I won't be using that one anymore. Also, he said the files I downloaded weren't actual picture files, but rather links to the pictures on the software company's database. An interesting way to maintain control.
Does anyone know a simple, safe, free program that will display picture files as wallpaper and screensaver?
