The problem with arriving home late is that driving home means I'm pretty wakeful, and it's hard for me to settle down to bed on time. I actually have my watch set to beep at 9 PM, to remind me to start winding down. When my watch beeped tonight, I had gotten in about 20 minutes previous, set down my bags, fed the fish, and was checking my email. Had not yet eaten.
I finished up the last part of the last problem of my math homework, which was due today, at the very end of class. Go me. :) Met yesterday evening with a classmate to work through most of it. That helped a lot.
Ash Wednesday is tomorrow, and with it comes my annual meatless stint: I've been giving up meat, except on Sundays, for Lent for the past few years. Seafood is permissible, but I tend not to purchase it often because of expense. (And I don't care for tuna.) Today I brought home from work half a chicken quesadilla, because that was one of the lunch specials and they were huge, as well as a sho pao* (spelling?) with a meat filling that one of my coworkers gave me. If I don't eat those tonight, they'll have to wait until Sunday. But I don't feel like eating them tonight. I want ramen. So I'm having ramen.
*Sho pao is a steamed bun, made from wheat flour, with a spoonful of savory filling in the center. It is white, and because it is steamed and not baked, it has no crust. Generally I only like the bread part and not the filling.
