I'm sure I've seen the 5 Questions thing go round before, and I thought I participated, but looking back, I can't find it in my journal posts. [Edit: That's because before, the number of questions wasn't necessarily five. Interview meme #1 part 1 and #1 part 2 and #2] Anyhow...

From [livejournal.com profile] taldragon:
1. does it feel any different being married?
This question is going to take so long to answer, I'll save it for another post. I've taken long enough to answer the other questions.

2. what's your ideal job?
I think it would be partly teaching adult education, and partly tramping around outdoors, learning stuff. The teaching part would have to be not merely docent work or dispensing trivia: I'd want people to take away a skill they hadn't had before.

3. where would you live, if money was no problem?
In a treehouse in a city park. With an elevator.

More realistically, I'd like to live some place in or close enough to a major city that there is a wide selection of restaurants and cultural activities (museums, concerts), within a few hours' drive of both a beach and a highly forested area, not too much ice/darkness in the winter, not too much heat in the summer, with shady parks to walk around or skate in. The east coast of the U.S. is more convenient to relatives than farther west. For a while I've thought the Washington, D.C. area might be a nice midpoint between my family in the south and other relatives farther north, but I've only lived in a few places, so in years to come I may find a place I like better.

4. if your cleric dies, what do you want him/her to reincarnate as? :)
That character just started, and you want me to pick a new species for her? :) I can't think of much that's better than human. I could say "elf," but what difference does that really make? A unicorn would have a hard time carrying items and climbing ropes or ladders, an elephant wouldn't fit through most doors, and a snake-taur... hm... actually, that might work. Whatever it is, it has to be something that has hands and a face, and breathes air.

5. will you visit the UK next year?
We're tentatively planning on it. The limiting factors are budget and [livejournal.com profile] aristeros' available leave.
