We returned from our trip in April, and [livejournal.com profile] aristeros' computer promptly tripped over its toes or something and stopped forwarding DNS service to my computer, and so for several weeks we swapped the cable modem connection back and forth between our two computers.

Then we invested in a PS3, and we decided to get a wireless network hub for it, and both computers as well as the PS3 could all be on teh Intarnetz at the same time, and all were happy.

This morning I was blithely surfing the web. Half an hour later, no web pages would load. As far as I know, we didn't change anything. The problem seems to be with [livejournal.com profile] aristeros' computer, since his can't connect, while mine is all right after I plugged the cable into my computer. How tiresome.

For those anticipating my character's debut at the Sunday D&D game, I expect to be able to connect, but it's not as sure a thing as it was yesterday.

That wireless network hub - is it also a router, or just a wireless-to-ethernet access point? Because I'm thinking that you could connect your machine through a router instead of continuing to use Windows' network bridging feature.
