Happy All Souls' Day.

About 20 children came by trick-or-treating Friday night... including three who looked to be high school age, but I don't mind that. We still have half our candy left. Well, maybe just a third, because we've eaten a fair amount over the past couple days.

We finally watched "Wall-E" yesterday. It's still playing at the $2 theater. I was charmed. Of the nine feature films Pixar has made (I had no idea they've done so many short films!), I've seen six and liked all of those very much.

The weather is still warm in the daytime, although there's a 25-30 degree (Fahrenheit) variation between the daily high and low. It still doesn't feel like autumn to me, but I have definitely noticed the fewer hours of daylight. I'm glad of the time change; it's been hard to get up in the morning before sunrise.

[livejournal.com profile] aristeros bought me "Little Big Planet," and we tried it out this weekend. It's quite a cute game, and more fun than Katamari, I think. I have some trouble timing the jumps to be able to grab and swing from hanging ropes, but I'll probably get better with practice. Meanwhile, he's enjoying "Fallout 3." I may play that, too, but being a spectator is almost as good.

*We* just got "Little Big Planet" too, and after five hours I think I've finally got the hang of it. I'm a little annoyed by what still seems to be sluggish jumping, but I'm not very practiced with the Play Station controller, so that could also be the problem :) Anyway, I'm not easily engaged by newer games, so I'm glad to have found one I like for once :)

I really really enjoyed Wall-E. Such a cute movie!

We also got Little Big Planet and are enjoying it. I went through the tutorials for creating levels, and it looks pretty powerful, but I never have good ideas for things like that...
