Animal alphabet challenge
Oct. 1st, 2010 01:37 pmI've seen a few illustrated alphabets over the past several months. You know, A is for Apple, B is for Bear, and so on. I'm bugged that many alphabets get very specific for some letters, e.g. Z is for Zebra, while being very general for others, like maybe F is for Frog. Frogs are an entire order of animals, after all.
Can you think of an animal for each letter of the alphabet if you don't use mammals? What if you use entirely mammals? How about all invertebrates? The more specific, the better: species are better than phyla.
