Today I bought a sandwich, a couple of half-pint cartons of milk, and a little bag of Cracker Jack and had lunch on the patio outside the student center. It was cool and shady. I fed some of my Cracker Jack to a squirrel but ignored a couple of pigeons who hoped for a share. A mockingbird came and stood on my table right in front of me; it didn't seem interested in the popcorn, so I gave it a little bit of bread from my sandwich. I like mockingbirds. Guess I'm bird-prejudiced. :)
I got the apartment thing settled last week. Nobody will have to pay rent for June, because one of my roommates is moving to a one-bedroom apartment in the same complex, and they require only a two-week notice for transfers, as opposed to a 60-day notice if you're moving out completely. Also, we're all three moving out within four days of each other, which makes some things easier.
