If I didn't have to

serenissimaIf I didn't have to come to work today, I would get a pair of ski gloves. I would go over to my aunt's house and visit my cousins (the teacher gets to stay home because it's a snow day, and the new mom is coming up for the day to join her). I would play in the snow for a little while and make some attempt at building a snowman. I wouldn't stay out for more than an hour at a time -- it's too cold. I would make hot cocoa.
Back at my place, I might rearrange my furniture. I might run a load of laundry. I might purchase and assemble a coffee table -- or, more accurately, and junk-and-stuff table for the living room. I would definitely play my video game (FFX). I would wash the frying pan that's left over from doing the dishes last night -- although I intend to do that when I get home, anyway.
If I didn't have to work for a living and had lots of money, I might buy a greenhouse and raise camellias. I suppose I'd have to hire a gardener, or learn how to be one myself. I think I'd take skiing lessons. I might take hang-gliding lessons. I might take a class on investing. I would get dogs, and cats, and a fishtank, and somebody to take care of them all when I didn't feel like it.
I would not star in a reality TV show.
