serenissimaIt is Friday afternoon, and I am very glad that the weekend starts in two hours.
Last night I got home about 8:30 or quarter of 9. I had, once again, a pile of dirty dishes in the sink and a full & stinky kitchen trashcan. So I picked up a book. I read until my former roommate called me a few minutes after 10. One of the first things I said to her was "I'm up too late," but when I got off the phone around 10:50, I finished the book. :p So I've been sleepy today. We were having a "Cultural Diversity Luncheon" at work, too, and I meant to make cornbread (from a box! says it bakes in 20 minutes!), but I woke up in time to dress and eat breakfast and that was it. I was peeved that three hours of reading means I can't do a bunch of other things I meant to do in one evening, but I guess that's life.
The previous tenant apparently never shut off his cable access, so before the cable company will set me up with broadband I must fax them some evidence that I am a new resident. And I guess I won't be getting free basic cable TV anymore. ;p
