serenissimaI had a fairly pleasant weekend. Saturday morning I ran some errands, including taking my car in for its 35k-mile checkup/oil change. The service only cost me fifty bucks, not a couple hundred like I was expecting, so I'm happy about that. I spent the entire afternoon and evening at the birthday party of my cousin's adorable daughter. She's one year old, born the morning of the big blackout.
On Sunday I moved some furniture around, stuffed things into boxes and into closets, laundered the bedsheets, and did a little vacuuming. My apartment looks bigger now! Chris and I went out to dinner with another cousin and her boyfriend, who live several blocks away from me. It was the first time we've gotten together, even though I've been living less than a mile from them since last November. We had a nice time.
I rented "Spartacus" on Saturday and the DVD is due back today, so I'll be watching that tonight.
