relaxation
Oct. 25th, 2004 01:25 pmYou'd think that I would take advantage of my restored Internet connectivity at home by posting an update over the weekend. However, I seem to have been hit with an attack of sloth. Maybe I still needed to recover from last Wednesday.
The end of my work week wasn't good for recovering: there was something I was supposed to have finished for my boss' meeting Friday morning, and I hadn't gotten to it by the end of Thursday. Stressed, I decided to go back to the office Thursday night to get in a couple hours of work, and I went in an hour early Friday morning. Despite my last-ditch effort, I didn't have the thing ready by the time of the meeting. It turned out not to be the disaster I had feared, but still ended the week on a sour note.
At any rate, I did very little on Saturday and not much more on Sunday. Around mid-day Sunday I headed over to Chris' house for his birthday celebration, then came back in the afternoon to get ready for my own and my cousin's joint celebration last night: the extended family went out for dinner at a nice Indian restaurant, followed by cake at home. It was a pleasant, relaxed evening.
